Barcelona have been given a financial boost today as they have completed the sale of Estanis Pedrola to Sampdoria for €3 million, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The move originally went down as a loan during the summer transfer window, with a clause to become permanent should the Spaniard make ten appearances for the Italian side, currently playing in Serie B.
Pedrola did not start for Sampdoria today after eight continuous starts in a row, but came on in the 63rd minute to make his tenth appearance of the season, including eight games in the league and one in the Coppa Italia against Sudtirol.
Across this timeline, playing mostly as a right-winger, he has scored three goals, and created three big chances while registering 12 key passes.
Barcelona clearly rated Pedrola very highly, and included a massive 50% sell-on clause in his contract. Further, they also have a buy-back clause valid until 2025 which they can exercise for a measly €7 million.
Given the Catalans’ struggles on the left-wing with Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres underperforming, Pedrola may just get another shot in the Barça setup in the near future.
