Official: Barcelona announce major injury return for Young Boys clash | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday announced a headline return to fitness in the club’s first-team ranks.

Barca are of course currently preparing for a return to action, later tonight.

Fresh off being put to the sword for the first time this La Liga season over the weekend, the Blaugrana will turn attentions back towards matters on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Swiss outfit Young Boys.

And, in efforts to secure a swift return to winning ways, Barcelona could yet be aided by the contributions of a long-term absentee.

This comes amid confirmation that Frenkie de Jong – who has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in April owing to an ankle injury – has been included in the Catalans’ matchday setup for Tuesday’s clash.

As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:

‘Frenkie de Jong is declared fit and is in the squad for Barça vs Young Boys in the Champions League’
