From La Masia to Barça Atletic

Tomas Marques joined the club’s famed La Masia academy in 2015 after a move from CE Europa.

Over the years, he has developed steadily across various youth categories and has earned a reputation as a calm, intelligent midfielder with a strong sense of positioning and game management.

His physical presence has also made him a reliable asset in aerial duels and physical contests, a quality that adds another layer to his midfield game.

The 2023/24 season has been a defining one for Marques. Although he began the campaign on loan at CF Damm, he returned mid-season to make a strong impact in Juvenil A under the guidance of Juliano Belletti.

This season, Marques has made a solid impression with the Barcelona U19 team. He has made an impact with his creative abilities, which have led to his promotion.

Indeed, Marques is set to join the Barça Atletic next season, thus putting him a step closer to potentially making a breakthrough in the first team.
