Official | Auxerre sign Watford centre-back Francisco Sierralta | OneFootball

Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre has announced the signing of Chilean international centre-back Francisco Sierralta (28) from EFL Championship outfit Watford FC. Sierralta has reportedly put pen to paper over a four-year deal with the Yonne side. He will wear the No. 4 jersey for Auxerre. Sierralta has featured for the Hornets in the last five seasons.  According to La Tercera, Auxerre’s outlay to sign Sierralta rises to €2.9m.

“Thank you for all your support and love, and the moments we shared together,” Sierralta said in a statement shared by Watford FC. “I’m really proud to be a part of the history of this club. Watford will always be in my heart. Once a Hornet, always a Hornet.” Sierralta played 123 games with Watford, including five in the Premier League. The 17-time international is the second Chilean national to sign for Auxerre, following in the footsteps of centre-back Pedro Reyes.
