Official | Augsburg acquire Hertha Berlin midfielder Eduard Löwen on loan

FC Augsburg have announced the signing of Hertha BSC midfielder Eduard Löwen, subject to a medical, on a loan deal until 2021 with an option to purchase the 22-year-old permanently.

“We were trying to sign Eduard in the summer, so we’re glad that we’ve finally got him – even if it’s six months too late. Eduard made it clear to us that he would like to come to Augsburg if he were to leave Hertha this winter,” said sporting director Stefan Reuter.

The Germany youth international joined Hertha BSC from Nürnberg for €7m in the summer but has played just 309 minutes of Bundesliga football this season.
