Official: Atlético Madrid star agrees move to La Liga rivals | OneFootball

A member of the goalkeeper department at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid has agreed on the terms of a move to newly-promoted Real Oviedo.

As much has been confirmed by the two clubs, who point towards Horațiu Moldovan as the player in question.

Shot-stopper Moldovan for his part spent this past season plying his trade out on loan away from Spain’s capital.

The Romanian international linked up with Italian outfit Sassuolo, playing an important role in the club’s charge to the Serie B title.

As alluded to above, though, next season, Moldovan will be lining out in the colours of another club recently promoted back to the top-flight.

This comes amid confirmation that the 27-year-old has penned terms with Spanish outfit Real Oviedo.

As per a statement across Atlético Madrid’s official website and social media platforms:

‘Our club has reached an agreement with Real Oviedo for the loan of Horațiu Moldovan to the Asturian team.

‘The Romanian goalkeeper, who joined our club at the start of the 2023/24 season from Rapid Bucharest, will thus face a new professional challenge, having also played for Sassuolo last season on loan.

‘Atlético de Madrid wishes him the best of luck in this new challenge.’
