Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi will be leading an all-female officiating team for the Serie A encounter between Inter Milan and Torino.
The Nerazzurri have already secured the Serie A title by beating AC Milan 2-1 last Monday in the Derby della Madonnina.
Nevertheless, Simone Inzaghi’s men still have five matches to play before embarking on their summer vacations.
The first comes this Sunday in the early Serie A kickoff. Inter will host the Granata at San Siro before parading across the city in an open bus.
This fixture will be officiated by an all-female officiating team as reported by FcInterNews.
Ferrieri Caputi will be in charge of her seventh Serie A fixture this season. This will be the first time she officiates a fixture for the Nerazzurri this season.
On the other hand, she was in charge of Torino’s clash against Sassuolo last November. The Granata prevailed by two goals to one.
In her six Serie A outings, the 33-year-old brandished 31 yellow cards and only one red card. She awarded spot kicks on two occasions.
Ferrieri Caputi also officiated eight encounters in Serie B this season. She is also a FIFA-certified referee who was in charge of a qualifier in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
The Livorno native will be assisted by Francesca Di Monte and Tiziana Trasciatti on the lines to complete the all-female team.
Nevertheless, Matteo Marchetti will act as the fourth official, while Di Paolo and Aureliano operate in the VAR booth.
