Ajax have announced that they won’t be renewing Mohamed Ihattaren’s loan deal or signing him permanently, with the Dutchman instead returning to Juventus in January.
Ihattaren joined the Dutch champions in January on a one-year loan deal, with an option being included for the Amsterdam side to make the move permanent at the end of it if they wanted to.
He made a solid start, impressing for Jong Ajax and making a first-team appearance before the end of the 2021/22 campaign, but things have gone downhill since then.
The 20-year-old hasn’t trained, let alone played, this season, with non-footballing matters being the only reason he’s been spoken about as he’s gotten involved with criminal gangs.
Given that, it’s no surprise that Ajax have decided to let him return to Juventus in January, bringing his time at the club to a permanent end.
