Just two days before the clash against Udinese, Stefano Pioli has received some reinforcement as three players have recovered from COVID-19. The most important, of course, being Gigio Donnarumma’s return.

The goalkeeper and Hauge tested positive for the virus just before the game against Roma, forcing Pioli to field Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal instead. The latter made a mistake right away and Gigio’s absence suddenly became very clear.

Fortunately, along with Matteo Gabbia, the duo has now tested negative and are allowed to return to training. Per Daniele Longo, Donnarumma could play the game against Udinese from start, not affected by the virus and ready to step in.

“AC Milan announces that Matteo Gabbia has tested negative for Covid-19 and will undergo medical screening tomorrow before returning to sporting activities. Moreover, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge, who had been asymptomatic, have tested negative following further testing,” the statement read.

Following the 3-3 draw against Roma, in which the Rossoneri certainly felt hard done by, they will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league tomorrow. In fact, they should have no issues beating the Friuli side.
