Özcan prematurely qualifies for EUROs, Norway lose to Spain

BVB midfielder Salih Özcan has helped Türkiye's national team prematurely qualify for the 2024 European Championships in Germany.

A Türkiye national team including Salih Özcan has prematurely qualified for the upcoming European Championship thanks to a 4-0 victory against Latvia. Regardless of the outcome of their upcoming qualifying match against Wales, coach Vincenzo Montella's team have secured their participation in next year's tournament and currently sit in first place in Group D.

BVB defender Julian Ryerson played the full 90 minutes of Norway's game against Spain in Group A. The narrow 1-0 defeat means that Norway's only remaining chance of qualifying for the European Championships is via the Nations League play-offs.
