Nuno Tavares joins Lazio from Arsenal

Arsenal fullback Nuno Tavares has joined Serie A outfit Lazio in a deal that could be worth around £6m.

The fullback was signed by the Gunners back in 2021, but failed to nail down a spot in Mikel Arteta's squad. He spent last season on loan with Nottingham Forest, but managed just 12 appearances across all competitions.

Now, he is set for his third successive loan spell, this time with Italian top flight side Lazio, though it will signal an end to his Arsenal career with the loan move including an obligation to buy the defender.

The Gunners will also have a sell-on clause as part of the deal.
