Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes has already formed keen chemistry with several of his teammates so far this season, including forward Kylian Mbappe.
When on the pitch together, the two have run rampant against opposing wide midfielders and fullbacks on the left flanks.
For Mendes, as he recently noted to PSG TV, he is enjoying tagging alongside with Mbappe.
“Every day that passes, I get on even better with my teammates,” Mendes said. “And I think it’s very important, for me and for all players, to understand what your teammate wants and what his qualities are.
“For example, Kylian Mbappé is very fast so I give him a lot of deep passes, usually the opposing defenders can’t stop him. I have to understand what they want and try to help them.”
Overall, Mendes has now become more of a regular for PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino. For one, he has so far featured in all three of PSG’s fixtures in all competitions over the calendar year, which include its 1-1 draw result against Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 play. More so, the Portuguese fullback has recorded a pair of assists in these such matches.
For now, Mendes could be in line to go on to feature in PSG’s upcoming home league fixture against Reims.
