If there is one striker who knew exactly how to score goals and succeed as a striker in the Premier League then it is Ian Wright.

He was one of the best strikers that the Premier League has ever witnessed, so when he speaks on current Premier League strikers and attackers, it’s probably worth taking note.

Wright has been unimpressed with a couple of Chelsea attackers of late as The Blues continue to go through a rough period of inconsistent performances and results, and of late, both have been terrible.

There are many issues across the pitch and many players not performing of course, but in this instance, the former Premier League star has honed in on both Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson, neither of whom have been convincing at all on the whole since their arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Wright, speaking on his podcast Wrighty’s House, has admitted that he has little confidence in both Jackson and Mudryk and is not convinced at all.

He said: “If Mudryk goes through, Jackson goes through, no matter how well they’ve got the ball through to them, I do not think they’re going to score. I’m watching from the outside watching that.

“If you’re a player and you’re playing in that team and you’re getting the pressure that Chelsea are getting on them, then you’re creating chances, and we’re talking good chances, and missing them, you’re demoralised.

“I feel sorry for Nicolas Jackson. He is nowhere near the level to the point where you can see it, you can see it. He’s nervous, he’s scared, he’s worried because he’s not near it. Mudryk, he’s still playing exactly how I saw a couple of videos of him, Ukraine, when he’s doing his stuff, running 100 miles an hour, not slowing down.”
