Getting Murillo out of the way; Fabrizio Romano says the unknown Brazilian centre-back is set to join his compatriot Andrey Santos at the City Ground after he finalised a loan move earlier this week.

Romano says the “talented” 21-year-old will cost “around €15m”.

Writing on Twitter, he said: “Understand Nottingham Forest are now closing in on Murillo deal! Agreement at final stages with Corinthians for talented Brazilian CB.

“Told fee will be around €15m package add-ons included. One more after Andrey Santos.”

Murillo is a physical and composed left-footed centre-back who can also operate as a left-back.

He has made 27 appearances for the Corinthians first team after impressing for their under-20s.

It’s great what a quick YouTube and Transfermarkt search can do these days.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Forest will sign Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea.

The 22-year-old is out of contract next summer and is believed to be surplus to requirements after a poor season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen.

In 21 appearances across all competitions, Hudson-Odoi scored and assisted once for the German outfit.

A transfer this summer is perfect for everyone involved as Chelsea will hope to receive a transfer fee rather than losing their youth graduate on a free transfer, especially as the sale will count as pure profit.

The three-cap England winger has not been included in any of Mauricio Pochettino’s Premier League matchday squads and is worth €15m (£12.8m), as per Transfermarkt, though it would not be surprising to see him leave for less.

According to Sky Sports, Forest are ‘close to reaching an agreement’ to sign Hudson-Odoi from their Premier League rivals, who only finished six points above Steve Cooper’s side last season.

There is no mention of a fee, though it is said it will be a permanent transfer.

Given Chelsea’s desire to get rid of the player, who only has a year left on his contract, it should not be a big fee.
