Team news

Gareth Taylor will address the media on Friday 28 January with a press conference, and will share a squad update at 14:15.

Karima Taieb could return for the trip to the Midlands. Hayley Raso and Alanna Kennedy remain on international duty with Australia at the Asia Cup, while Karen Bardsley (hamstring), Ellie Roebuck (calf), Esme Morgan (leg fracture) and Chloe Kelly (ACL) remain long-term absentees.

Previous Meeting

This will be the first meeting between the two sides in professional competition.

Last time out

A stoppage time strike from Tobin Heath denied City all three points in a pulsating FA Women's Super League clash.

The Arsenal substitute stole a yard inside the City area and fired back across goal to salvage a point for the league leaders.

Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw's effort midway through the second half looked to have been enough to give Gareth Taylor's side what would've been a deserved victory on the balance of play.

But despite City's best efforts, spearheaded by an inspired display from young stopper Khiara Keating, hopes of a statement three points were dashed in the final moments.

Form guide

City come into the tie having won six of our last seven matches in all competitions, scoring 25 times while conceding just four in the process.

Taylor's side sit fifth in the FA WSL table - six points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Women's National League North side Forest also find themselves in fifth spot - five points behind table-topping Fylde.

The Midlands side have won four of their last six, defeating Stoke 1-0 on Sunday last time out, and face Sheffield FC on Thursday 27 January.
