Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Corinthians central defender Murillo.
The 21-year-old joins Steve Cooper’s side on a five-year contract after they agreed a reported €13m deal.
Murillo only made his professional debut in April but has gone on to amass a further 26 appearances in all competitions.
“Murillo has shown his high level of ability and potential at Corinthians so naturally we are delighted that he now joins Nottingham Forest,” said Forest’s chief football officer Ross Wilson.
“At only 21 years old we know how high his potential is and we look forward to helping him to maximise that.”
Murillo becomes Forest’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window ahead of their Premier League trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
