Nottingham Forest are interested in acquiring the services of Emmanuel Dennis, according to Sky Sports’ Emma Paton.

Speaking on today’s edition of the Good Morning Transfers show, the reporter revealed that Nottingham are keen on a move for Dennis, who currently plies his trade with Watford in the Championship

“Nottingham Forest are interested in the Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis,” Paton said.

“Watford value Dennis at around about £20 million but we understand that Forest would prefer a loan, with an option to buy and they are deciding whether to formalise their interest.”

Amid interest from Everton and West Ham United, Dennis revealed earlier this month that he is happy at Vicarage Road although he did not refuse to rule out a move away from Rob Edwards’ men.

“I enjoy the game today, we won the game, so I’m happy,” the ex-Club Brugge man told SkySports after his side’s 1-0 victory over Sheffield United.

“I’m still a player of the team so I just do my job and we’ll see what happens.”

Dennis was a standout performer for Watford in an otherwise turbulent Premier League campaign for the Hornets last time out where they finished 19th in the table.

The 24-year-old racked up an impressive 10 goals and six assists in 33 league games and could return for a second spell in the top tier of English football with Forest this time around.

Having signed a whopping 12 new players in the current transfer market, the Tricky Trees are still keen to bolster their squad even further before the window shuts in early September.

One of the latest arrivals at the City Ground this summer has been Dennis’ international teammate Taiwo Awoniyi and the Nigerian duo could now be set to join forces in the Midlands.
