Nottingham Forest will struggle to keep Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, which is why they are preparing for life without him. And one of their targets to replace the midfielder is a recently-crowned Premier League champion.
Gibbs-White has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent months. Man City are said to be very interested in a summer move as they aim to have him replace the departing Kevin De Bruyne, and the Nottingham Forest man is believed to be very keen on a move to the Etihad – and his stance is unlikely to change even if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side qualify for next season’s Champions League.
As such, replacements must be considered by Nottingham Forest, and an interesting name has now been added to their shortlist.

As reported by Football Insider, Harvey Elliott has emerged as a candidate to replace Gibbs-White at the City Ground. The 22-year-old has struggled for regular playing time under Arne Slot this season, and this could prompt a move away in the summer.
Nottingham Forest are the latest of a number of clubs to register their interest in Elliott, who could look to leave Liverpool during the summer transfer window in order to join a side where he has a more prominent role. Newcastle are said to be keen, while there has also been linked to Wolves and Bournemouth.
Elliott’s future looks unclear at this stage, and he is expected to hold talks with Slot in the coming weeks in order to understand his role in the Liverpool squad going into next season. If this planned discussion is unproductive, there is a good chance that the midfielder seeks a move away in the summer – and a team like Nottingham Forest would provide him with a much more prominent role.
