Eintracht Frankfurt are set to demand a steep fee for Nottingham Forest target Omar Marmoush, who they do not want to sell this summer.
Forest’s pursuit of strikers has taken them to the Bundesliga for solutions with little over a day left in the window.
Following rejection from Eddie Nketiah and Santiago Gimenez, the East Midlands club turned their attention towards Marmoush.
It has been claimed that Forest are prepared to offer a fee in the region of €20m to €25m to secure a deal for the striker’s signature.
However, the negotiations are likely to be complicated as according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Eintracht Frankfurt do not want to lose the forward.
With only a day left in the window, Eintracht Frankfurt want to avoid selling one of their best players and are asking for a big fee if they are to let him leave.
The German club want north of the €30m figure if they are to agree to sell Marmoush before Friday’s deadline.
It remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest are prepared to shoot that high for a striker who appears to be their third-choice target.
