French defender Moussa Niakhate is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest.
The newly promoted Premier League club are set to make their fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old is ready to depart German side Mainz, according to the Daily Mail.
Niakhate will travel to have his medical, sign a contract, and then go to Spain to link up with Forest during their pre-season preparations.
A deal for Mainz's captain, who is an excellent defender, will cost Forest around £13 million.
Forest have signed forward Taiwo Awoniyi and defender Giulian Biancone, along with England keeper Dean Henderson, this summer.
