The Barcelona forward did, however, appear live to express his gratitude while answering some key questions from reporters.

Lewandowski responds to Saudi links

One of those questions catered towards Saudi Arabia and how they are attempting to sign some of the top players in Europe, including Lewandowski.

The Pole, though, outrightly dismissed any links and expressed his desire to remain in Barcelona.

“I feel very good at Barcelona, not only in the club but also among the fans. I feel it every day; in the stadium, in the streets. I am very happy where I am and the club where I play.

“I don’t think about anything else and probably nothing will happen in this matter,” said Lewandowski (h/t Mundo Deportivo).

Lewandowski about his longevity

The former Bayern Munich forward also talked about his longevity and said he is ‘proud’ about his age.

“I’m not ashamed and I don’t see any problem with the fact that I’m 37 years old. From a physical point of view, I’m not afraid, but it all depends on how things go,” the forward said.

Lewandowski is currently enjoying his best season at Barcelona, having racked up 29 goals in 30 matches. He is hopeful of continuing at the highest level in the near future as well.

“Today I have a smile on my face, I’m looking forward to playing on green fields and I want to win more. As long as my heart tells me it’s worth it, I’ll do it,” the Pole concluded.
