As part of his weekly column in the Corriere della Sera newspaper, noted journalist Mario Sconcerti has touched upon Inter’s draw with Parma at the weekend.

“I would not give a lot of importance to Juventus, Inter and Napoli all drawing. Inter and Napoli were tired, especially Inter. Juve was not tired and certainly did not draw through lack of effort,” he began.

“It is true what Conte says, Inter do not have many reserves and they must be careful. Inter is more than a little broken. Alexis Sanchez and Stefano Sensi are both out injured, they are two of Inter’s difference markers. In midfield they have Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino, who, as reserves, are a small luxury.”

He then looked specifically at Marcelo Brozovic.

“Nobody can be surprised that Marcelo Brozovic has no real replacement because not even Miralem Pjanic has one, nor does Fabian Ruiz. Parma resorted to long balls and Brozovic could have played in a more advanced position. Inter are a strong team but if that has been dispersed, there is not much left to them.”
