, thInter Milan are targeting Como’s Nico Paz and Torino’s Samuele Ricci as the foundations of their future midfield.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that signing Petar Sucic is just the start of the Nerazzurri’s midfield retooling.
Inter have already struck a deal for one major midfield signing for next summer.
The Nerazzurri will sign Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. The Croat will undergo his medicals ahead of the summer move.
Tuttosport note that Sucic will likely replace Davide Frattesi in midfield. And he could also act as a long-term heir to Hakan Calhanoglu in holding midfield.
However, the newspaper report, Sucic is unlikely to be the only signing Inter make for the central areas.
Inter are keen to lay the foundations for the midfield for several years to come.
And in that respect, there are two players that have particularly convinced the Nerazzurri as future cornerstones.

The Argentine’s complicated situation with Real Madrid will play a key role. Como want to keep him, and are trying to buy out Real Madrid’s buyback clause.
If the Lariani are able to do that, it might make signing Paz next summer difficult, though.
However, Inter will certainly try and get the deal done.
