Inter Milan will join city rivals AC Milan in partnering with Italian telecommunications company TIM commercially.
This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza. They report that the partnership will be worth a total of €1 million per season for the Nerazzurri.
TIM is a name that will certainly be familiar to fans of Inter and of Serie A.
The Italian telecommunications giant had a commercial partnership with the Nerazzurri until 2018.
That was the year that the telecom company paused their partnership with Inter to focus exclusively on their sponsorship of the Lega Serie A.
TIM had had commercial partnerships with a total of fourteen different clubs within Italy.
However, the company ended all of these deals in 2018.
TIM had been the official sponsor of Serie A since 1999. The company has become widely associated with the Italian top flight due to the naming rights.
However, TIM has also had numerous partnerships with individual clubs.
The deals with individual clubs had been on pause since 2018.
But over the summer, TIM’s deal with the Lega Serie A came to an end. For the first time in 25 years, they are not the sponsors of the Italian top flight.
With TIM no longer the official main sponsors of Serie A, the Italian telecommunications company have returned to sponsoring individual clubs within the league.
AC Milan have already officially announced their partnership with TIM.
But it will not only be the Rossoneri, reports Calcio e Finanza.
The outlet anticipate that Inter will announce a deal of their own with the Telecommunications giant.
Calcio e Finanza report that TIM’s logo will adorn the back of the matchday shirt for Inter’s women’s team as well as their men’s Primavera side.
The deal will be worth around €1 million per season, reports Calcio e Finanza.
