Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday spoken publicly for the first time regarding the ongoing saga surrounding the registration of Dani Olmo.
This, of course, comes as Barcelona find themselves at the heart of another altogether embarrassing situation.
Midfielder Olmo is currently ineligible to line out for the Blaugrana in competitive fixtures.
As much comes after the deadline for the Spanish international’s registration with La Liga for the 2nd half of the campaign came and went without action earlier this week.
Joan Laporta and co. remain hard at work behind the scenes in an effort to put the necessary financial parameters in place to sort out the mess, but the damage, in the eyes of many, has already been done.
Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his midfield star’s availability, or rather lack thereof, was put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.
And Barca’s headmaster was not shy in admitting:
“Honestly I am not happy about the situation, and the players are not either – but it is what it is. We are professionals. The confidence is there. We have to wait for the decision”.
