Barcelona’s supporters have on Saturday come together, to send out a collective message regarding one member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Gerard Martín.

Barcelona are of course locked in action at present, in a La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.

As things stand amid a largely disappointing showing to date, the Blaugrana find themselves locked at a goal apiece, after Ferran Torres’ opener was swiftly cancelled out by Borja Iglesias.

Barca’s performance has been riddled with individual errors, from errant passing to mistimed tackles and beyond.

Such woes have culminated in a whole host of the club’s stars being singled out for criticism, from Raphinha to Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski.

None, though, has been more widely targeted than the aforementioned Gerard Martín.

Afforded his latest starting berth amid the ongoing injury absence of Alejandro Balde, Martín has badly struggled thus far against Celta, looking a step behind when it comes to the pace of the game.

And as much has given rise to a collective message from the Barcelona fanbase, adamant that their backup left-back simply isn’t ‘good enough’ for a club the size of the Blaugrana.
