Among those to come through the Carrow Road door was Sargent, who joined from German outfit Werder Bremen for a fee believed to be in the region of £8million.

19 caps for his country, penned a four-year deal after his switch was confirmed in August.

Farke confirmed Norwich fought off stiff competition for Sargent's signature and has also stated he is excited by the centre forward's potential.

The 21-year-old was on Farke's summer wishlist thanks to the American grabbing 11 goals and six assists over the course of three seasons in the Bundesliga.

What has Stuart Hodge said about Sargent?

Hodge has claimed Sargent could prove to be a similar player to former Liverpool and Netherlands attacker Kuyt.

Kuyt became a fans' favourite at Anfield as he scored 71 goals in 285 appearances for the Merseyside club.

The 41-year-old also represented his country on more than 100 occasions and Hodge has high hopes for Sargent.

The Football Terrace's Premier League predictor: Marcus Rashford to return for Man United!

The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "I know quite a lot of folk who cover German football and what they reckon is, at his best, he could be like a Dirk Kuyt type of player.

"He's a player that pulls the team up the field, gets everyone else involved in the game and works really hard.

"I think he's intelligent and one of those strikers that can make a bad long ball a good long ball as an out ball."

How has Sargent performed so far this season?

Sargent started the campaign on Werder Bremen's books and ended his time with the German club by bagging a brace of goals in a narrow victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

As a result, the striker headed to the Premier League having got his name on the scoresheet 15 times in 83 appearances for Werder Bremen.

Sargent has been unable to replicate his goalscoring form in the Premier League so far, with him being goalless in six outings.
