Norwich City's trio of forward could inflict real damage in the Championship next season.
Norwich City will be targeting a strong 2024-25 campaign under new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup.
Promotion will surely be the aim for most of those around the club and a trio of attacking talent could be the spark behind any potential success.
Those three are Jonathan Rowe, Borja Sainz and Abu Kamara, who each showcased their potential last season.
The latter, who spent last year on loan at Portsmouth, contributed significantly to their promotion to the Championship after finishing first in League One. Meanwhile, Sainz and Rowe played crucial roles in Norwich’s solid sixth-place finish, demonstrating their perceived importance for this season.
This trio is something to really get excited about for Norwich fans then, and they could cause numerous problems for EFL sides next season.
Sainz and Rowe both consistently featured for David Wagner's Norwich last season, with the latter having a truly remarkable breakout year for the Canaries.
Aged 20 at the start of the campaign, the Westminster-born winger scored 13 and provided four assists in all competitions, as he dazzled with his directness. Unfortunately, he was rather shut out in the play-offs by Leeds United's Archie Gray, but it didn't prove any stain on what was a captivating 2023-24 for the winger.
Unsurprisingly, his performances have caught the eye of clubs higher up the pyramid, but currently, any news around his departure has gone quiet. This will boost the hopes of Norwich fans that they will get to see him run out at Carrow Road again, and if they are to have a strong year, they will need him to be on top form.
In a slightly less consistent fashion to Rowe, Sainz showed glimpses at times of what he was capable of. In truth, though the previous season was always going to be one of adaptation and these glimpses will likely come to the fore, now he has acclimatised himself to the English game.
Towards the end of last year, he was really beginning to prove his promise, taking that left-sided position from Rowe, who moved over to the right to accommodate the Spaniard.
These two could be the driving force then behind a tilt at promotion and with Abu Kamara waiting in the wings, Hoff Thorup is spoiled for choice.
The final piece of the attacking trio is Kamara, who can add another dimension to the team.
If you speak to any Canaries fans, they are desperately excited to see how the forward gets on in this campaign following his breakout year at Pompey last season.
The 21-year-old managed eight goals and 10 assists in the league, but this tells only part of the story, with his underlying statistics suggesting he is ready for a chance in the second-tier.
Portsmouth, unsurprisingly, have reportedly launched bids to try and resign one of their star players, but based on his heavy involvement in pre-season for the Canaries, it appears that Kamara will be staying put at Carrow Road.
However, the 21-year-old will recognise that playing time may be hard to come by, as he will need to compete with Josh Sargent or one of Sainz and Rowe for a spot. Nonetheless, if Sargent attracts interest from other clubs, it could pave the way for Kamara to secure a regular place in the front three. Having experienced that role with the youth teams, it is possible that he could adapt and form a formidable attacking trio alongside Sainz and Rowe.
With Sainz providing flair and creativity, and Kamara and Rowe adding dynamism and finishing prowess, this trio has the potential to become a cherished attacking force for Norwich fans for years to come.
