Norwich City are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams on a season-long loan this summer, according to The Sun.
The Canaries earned a promotion to the English top-flight after winning the Championship at a canter.
They are gearing up for a crucial summer transfer window in the hopes of extending their Premier League stay.
Norwich right-back Max Aarons has attracted attention from a number of clubs across Europe, and the club are concerned that he will depart in the upcoming transfer window.
The same report says that Norwich aren’t the only club keeping an eye on Williams, with Southampton and West Ham United also interested.
Williams played a big role for United last year, making 36 appearances across all competitions.
However, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Alex Telles ahead of him in the pecking order, he has featured in just 11 games this season.
He hasn’t played in the Premier League since a late substitute appearance in a 2-0 win over Manchester City in March.
The Manchester-born starlet is a gifted defender who enjoys going forward and isn’t afraid to make tackles.
He offers versatility to the manager as he can play in either full-back position.
Williams needs to play regularly to further his development and a loan move could be the best option.
This needs to be with a club who will give him the game time he needs to help him build on the promising start he has made to his career.
