A round-up of all the key headlines coming out of Carrow Road over the last few days

It's a summer of change for Norwich City as the club welcomes new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup to the dugout but that's unlikely to be the end of movements inside Carrow Road.

There is further speculation about the future of two Canaries players, with one impacted directly by the hiring of Thorup, as they look to finalise deals ahead of the new season.

Norwich are also key among clubs impacted by their players heading out to Germany to compete in Euro 2024, but it may prove a fruitful endeavour for little work on the club's side.

Here, FLW round up all the key stories coming out of Carrow Road...

Thorup stalls Idah's Celtic move

Canaries striker Adam Idah spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic, where he impressed, scoring nine goals in 19 appearances, including a crucial winner in the Scottish Cup final.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of the fact that he'd love to bring the 23-year-old back to Celtic Park, but that may have hit an obstacle with the appointment of Thorup.

It has been reported by Football Scotland that the new Danish coach wants to evaluate Idah for himself before sanctioning any move, putting the forward's future plans in some doubt.

Norwich set for Euro 2024 windfall

Norwich have three representatives at Euro 2024 in Angus Gunn, Grant Hanley, and Kenny McLean, all of whom turned out for Scotland in their opener against Germany.

It didn't quite go to plan against Die Mannschaft, with a first-half red card for Ryan Porteous condemning the Tartan Army to a 5-1 defeat.

Back at home, however, the Norwich trio's participation is valuable for their domestic side. The scheme, called the Club Benefits Programme, compensates clubs for the time their players spend with their national teams and the allowances have been raised for this tournament.

The Canaries will earn at least £420,000 for their three Scottish stars, a figure that will climb even higher if Steve Clarke's side make it out of the group stage. It may not be a landmark sum for the club, but it will certainly be a welcome bolstering of funds in the middle of a busy summer.

Canaries to hold out for higher Nunez fee

It has been reported that Norwich midfielder Marcelino Nunez is the subject of a £3.5million bid from Turkish side Trabzonspor after another successful season at Carrow Road.

The 24-year-old arrived from Chilean side Universidad Catolica in 2022 for a fee believed to be around £3 million and has since become a key figure for the Championship club.

Unsurprisingly, due to his recent performances, age and relatively small profit margin, Norwich are believed to be holding out for a much more substantial fee.

The midfielder is currently on international duty with his native Chile as they embark on their Copa America campaign, so movement on any potential deal may be slowed over the next few weeks as a result.
