The German was relieved of his duties at Carrow Road just hours after the final whistle had gone in their 4-0 hammering in the second leg of their semi-final against Leeds United at Elland Road, but the club hierarchy are believed to have not wasted any time whatsoever in finding his replacement.

That's because, according to a report from Football Insider on Tuesday morning, Norwich are said to be in "advanced talks" with Johannes Hoff Thorup, the current head coach of Danish Superliga outfit, FC Nordsjaelland.

Sources close to the publication state that a deal is "very advanced" and a "breakthrough in negotiations is close."
