Norwich City boss Dean Smith is delighted with their form facing Newcastle tomorrow night.

Norwich beat Southampton in Smith's first game in charge then managed a 0-0 draw against Wolves at the weekend.

"We've deserved four points from the two games we've played, although probably the other way around," said Smith.

"I've been pleasantly surprised by the squad we have available."

Smith adds he's also been impressed with the crowd during their two home fixtures.

"The atmosphere in both games so far... I must say it has been magnificent," said Smith.

Talking about the players who have caught his eye, he also said: "Lukas [Rupp] came on and played really well, showing myself and Craig the strengths and abilities he's got.

"Pierre [Lees-Melou] has been good in training and Jacob Sorensen has been showing his strengths in training."
