Haug joins Liverpool off the back of an 18-month spell with Italian club AS Roma. The player won the Serie A Femminile TIM title with ‘The Magic One’ last season along with the Supercoppa Italiana. In addition to her recent domestic achievements, the player has lots of experience of playing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League both with AS Roma and her previous club LSK Kvinner.
The 24-year-old is a real talent and she will be hoping to step up to the challenge of playing Barclays Women’s Super League football at Liverpool.
After joining The Reds, Haug said “I’m really excited to be here and I can’t wait to get started.
“I feel like it was the right next step for me. I got a really good impression of the club and I believe they’re building something big here and I would really like to be a part of it.
“It’s a club with a lot of long traditions and with a lot of ambition. I really hope this season to be able to contribute with a lot of goals and I have a lot of faith that the team will do a great season.
“I’m excited to be able to play in what could be the biggest league in the world too. If we get off to a good start and get momentum, we’re going to be a tough team to beat.”
Haug becomes Liverpool’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
