Norway’s World Cup just keeps going from bad to worse.
The Scandinavians lost their first game to New Zealand last week and went into their second game, against Switzerland, with pressure on them.
But just moments before kick off, they were struck with the ultimate blow.
Ada Hegerberg — the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner who also missed the last tournament in 2019 after going on strike — walked back down the tunnel in Hamilton just before kick off this morning.
That came after Barcelona pair Caroline Graham Hansen and Ingrid Engen were already surprisingly left out of the team.
The Norway FA have now confirmed that the Lyon striker suffered a groin injury but has yet to say how serious the injury is.
Norway went on to draw 0-0 as their struggled Down Under continued.
