Leicester City full-back Demi Vance has left the club by mutual consent.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Leicester City this afternoon.

Vance has only been with Leicester City for a short period. She joined The Foxes on a free transfer at the beginning of the season. The player has gone on to make just five appearances for the East Midlands club in all competitions. Her only start in the Barclays Women’s Super League came in Leicester City’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal at The King Power Stadium before Christmas.

New Leicester City boss Willie Kirk will have to juggle his squad carefully this month as he looks to freshen up his team with more quality and Vance has become the club’s first January departure.

The defender may look to remain in the elite game following her Leicester City exit. Vance has been playing professional with both The Foxes and her former club Rangers, therefore she may have the appetite for another challenge on a similar stage. The player has showcased her talents particularly well on the international stage with Northern Ireland, Vance can add a lot of value to her next club.

While Vance has left Leicester City today, there has also been an incoming deal with Australian international forward Remy Siemsen joining the club.
