Still fresh from February's Arnold Clark Cup victory, England continue their bid to qualify for the 2023 World Cup with a trip to North Macedonia.

The Lionesses currently top their group with six wins from six, scoring an incredible 53 goals without reply in the process, and are still unbeaten under new boss Sarina Wiegman overall.

England find themselves without a number of defenders for Friday's fixture, with Alex Greenwood ruled out because of a knee problem, and Lotte Wubben-Moy sidelined with a thigh injury. Both players have returned to their clubs, and Gabby George has been called up in their place.

Leah Williamson - who was recently named England captain - will also sit out as she is following concussion protocols. But the Arsenal defender has still travelled with the squad to Skopje.

Bethany England and Niamh Charles are additional absentees for the Lionesses, having tested positive for Covid-19. They could both return for Tuesday's clash with Northern Ireland.

North Macedonia vs England score prediction

Friday evening will likely see England dominate possession against a side ranked 132nd in the world, and will be a good opportunity to show the ruthless side that Sarina Wiegman was so keen to see at the Arnold Clark Cup.

More formation experimentation could be in store as the clock ticks down to Euro 2022.

Overall, it will likely be a comfortable victory for the Lionesses, the only question being how many they will score in the end.
