Playing much more regularly than last season, Éverton Ribeiro has returned to play a very decisive role in Flamengo’s games.
His most-recent growth in production growth is undoubtedly tied to the arrival of Renato GaĂşcho.
After Flamengo replaced Rogério Ceni, who is still without a club, Éverton Ribeiro’s numbers have gone through the roof.
Under Rogério Ceni: 18 games 0 goals 1 assist
Under Renato GaĂşcho: 19 games 2 goals 7 assists
The 32-year-old has been incredible over his last two games heading into the October Fifa date, scoring against Athletico-PR and dishing out both assists in last week’s Copa Libertadores semi-final second-leg win over Barcelona (ECU).
Of course, he also scored two of Brazil’s three goals in their last two World Cup qualifying victories and should be in line to start against both Venezuela and Colombia this week.
