‘No chance’ – Cesc Fàbregas admits defeat in pursuit of Barcelona star | OneFootball

Como head coach Cesc Fàbregas has on Friday confirmed that Barcelona star Eric García will not be making his way to the club this month.

For those not aware, defender Eric has been hotly tipped for a move to Italy over the course of the last week.

This comes after Serie A newcomers Como attempted to take advantage of the former Manchester City man’s delicate situation in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad.

The Biancoblù, in fact, recently went as far as to table an opening offer for Eric’s signature.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest comments on the part of former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fàbregas are anything to go by, then no such move will be forthcoming for his fellow countryman before the month is out.

Drawn on the situation by the media on Friday, Como boss Fàbregas explained:

“Eric García won’t join us, no chance, Especially after the goal he scored against Benfica.”
