No Alessio Castro-Montes for Gent against Djurgården | OneFootball

Gent will travel to Stockholm without their left-midfielder Alessio Castro-Montes. Castro-Montes was injured during the weekends 4-0 victory over Eupen, having to be replaced just before half-time by Nurio Fortuna. Castro-Montes has played in all three of Gent’s Europa Conference League matches this season.

Gent manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck will have a few options to replace Castro-Montes. Nurio Fortuna is in the squad and seems the obvious choice, however the manager could also choose Eintracht Frankfurt loanee Jens Petter Hauge if he wanted to go for a more attacking option. Gent are also without experienced midfielder Sven Kums and Andreas Hanche-Olsen for the trip to Scandinavia.

Gent are confident of getting a result in Stockholm, having lost the home fixture 1-0. Gent sit third in the group behind Norweigan side Molde, and three points ahead of Irelands Shamrock Rovers, who they face in match week 5. Gent finish their campaign against Molde on the third of November.
