They insist that the striker has practically agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri for a five-year contract, which would put them at an advantage over the other clubs.

Sky Sport Italia are also now confirming that he agreed personal terms, but Milan have not yet spoken directly to Chelsea.

Of the competition, they claim Milan need to watch out for RB Leipzig and Aston Villa, as these clubs are prepared to buy him outright.

On the other hand, Inter and Bayern Munich only proffered a loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

Milan have been seeking a striker all summer, but for one reason or another, saw done deals collapse for Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting CP talent Conrad Harder.

Nkunku will turn 28 in November and was a huge €60m investment from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

He has made only 62 competitive appearances for Chelsea over two years, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists.
