The U21 Euros gets underway on Wednesday and plenty of big names and future stars will be in action, including some who are linked with big transfers this summer.

Here are nine to watch ahead of potential big money moves.

Loïs Openda (Belgium)

Linked with: RB Leipzig

Openda enjoyed a true breakthrough season with Lens, scoring 21 goals in Ligue 1 and earning attention from RB Leipzig, who are looking to replace Christopher Nkunku.

Reports in Germany have suggested Leipzig are looking to pay around €30m for the forward but Lens will demand something closer to €45m to complete a move.

Micky van de Ven (Netherlands)

Linked with: Liverpool

Linked with Liverpool — which should be no huge shock considering Jörg Schmadtke signed him at Wolfsburg — the Dutch defender has not played down rumours.

“If a nice club comes along that has a clear plan with me, I could consider a move,” he told Voetbal International this week.

However, he signed a new contract back in March so he won’t come cheap.

Ryan Gravenberch (Netherlands)

Linked with: Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund

Gravenberch completed a big move to Bayern Munich last summer but he made just three Bundesliga starts in his first year in Germany.

Having become an Ajax regular, he would have been expecting much more. He cost Bayern just under €20m and it’s unlikely they cut their losses already but he could yet try to force a move.

Gabri Veiga (Spain)

Linked with: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool

Brilliant carrying the ball and finding the net, Veiga had an outstanding season with Celta Vigo, scoring 11 times to keep them in LaLiga.

It’s little wonder he’s been linked with a move to one of Spain’s top clubs and more.

Levi Colwill (England)

Linked with: Brighton

Chelsea want to integrate the defender under Mauricio Pochettino but Brighton, where he was on loan last season, want to sign him permanently and have reportedly had a £30m approach turned down.

Colwill will be crucial for England this summer and Chelsea are likely to demand a huge sum to part with him.

Mohamed Simakan (France)

Linked with: Arsenal

First things first: Simakan is said to have no release clause in his RB Leipzig contract, making a deal very difficult indeed.

Arsenal have been linked with the defender, who is equally comfortable making driving runs down the right or playing in the heart of the backline, but now look more likely to pursue Ajax’s Jurriën Timber.

Enzo Le Fée (France)

Linked with: Borussia Dortmund, Rennes

The Lorient playmaker was long-linked as the player Dortmund wanted to replace Jude Bellingham with and it’s easy to see why with how adept he defensively and with the ball.

It seems he prefers to stay in France, though, with Rennes now the big favourites to sign him.

Manu Koné (France)

Linked with: Liverpool

Another Liverpool link, Koné is excellent carrying the ball through midfield and has been linked with a potential €40m move from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The France, midfield, also featuring fellow alleged Liverpool target Khéphren Thuram and Lyon’s Maxence Caqueret, as well as Le Fée, should not be missed.

Wilfried Gnonto (Italy)

Linked with: Just about everyone in the Premier League

Quick, creative winger Gnonto could be a potential bargain for someone after Leeds were relegated and has been linked with almost every Premier League club going.
