Nine goal thrillers in 'The 92'

Whether you're a player or a fan, a nine-goal thriller is a pretty special occasion for everyone involved...particularly if you win one like Swindon Town last weekend.

The Robins have been in free-scoring form under Ian Holloway and they emerged victorious from a 5-4 League Two ding dong with promotion hopefuls Bradford City last weekend, a 90th minute equaliser from Harry Smith levelling the score at 4-4 before an own goal from the Bantams´ Jack Shepherd deep in stoppage time earned Swindon a dramatic win.

The high-scoring affair pretty much had it all, Bradford racing into a two goal lead before an early red card for Richard Smallwood saw the visitors reduced to 10 men. Callum Kavanagh completed a first-half hat-trick to send Bradford into the break 3-2 ahead...only for the Robins to turn the game around in the second period.

When it comes to other nine goal thrillers across 'The 92' this season, there have actually only been two others, and here they are!

Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool

Mo Salah was involved in four goals (two goals and two assists), as Arne Slot's Reds blew Spurs away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Match report here.

Newport 6-3 MK Dons

This game was one for the record books, as the Exiles hit the Dons for six courtesy of not one, but two hat-tricks. Bryn Morris bagged a first-half treble, and then Bobby Kamwa completed his hat-trick after the break. We wonder who got the match ball?!
