Though Nikolaj Moller began the season in the starting lineup for Viktoria Koln, his spell in the side didn’t last for long.

After his start against SC Verl on August 14th, Moller missed the next couple of games with an infection. He returned to the squad against SC Freiburg II, making an appearance off the bench, only to miss the next three games with a back bruise.

Having recovered from that, Moller was back in the matchday squad again a couple of games ago, but he had to wait for his chance to break back into the starting lineup.

That chance came on Sunday, as he started the match against the Wurzburger Kickers. The centre-forward got 73 minutes in a 1-1 draw, and he’ll hope it leads to further opportunities now.

After 312 minutes on the pitch, Moller is yet to score, though he has been involved in the build-up for a couple of goals.

Viktoria Koln are also struggling as a team, with 10 points from 12 matches and just two places between them and the bottom of the table. So Moller isn’t the only one yet to fully get going this season.
