According to the Oregon-based company, the Bondy Dreams collection chronicles the “explosive rise of Mbappé from Parisian schoolboy to a global superstar.” The highlight of the collection is the Frenchman’s own Mercurial Superfly 7 boot.

As you already know, or should know if you’re a PSG and Mbappé fan, Bondy is the Paris suburb where Mbappé grew up. The green color you see across the collection, according to Nike, “references Bondy’s rural past, the trees on the commune’s coat of arms and the green shirts worn by AS Bondy.”

“Bondy is always in my heart; it’s where I found and fell in love with football,” Mbappé said to Nike.

In addition to the boots, the Bondy Dreams collection features Air Max 98 shoes, a Nike FC jersey, hoodie, T-shirt, hip pack, hat, and a football.

The Bondy Dreams Mercurial Superfly went on sale globally on December 8 and the rest of the collection is available exclusively in Europe.

After the unveiling of Bondy Dreams, Le Parisien caught up with the mayor of Bondy, Sylvine Thomassin, to ask her what Mbappé’s collection means to the city.

“Nike can fully appropriate the name of Bondy without a penny coming back to the city. Well, they made a small gesture. They at least repainted the locker room at the Leo Lagrange stadium and offered a mini-bus for the football section of AS Bondy. This new brand is very beautiful. The colors and graphics reflect what Nike did in 2017 when Kylian asked them to offer a city-stadium to the city. Everything is elegant!”

Mbappé joins teammate Neymar Jr. who also has a collection with Nike.
