Nicolo Zaniolo discusses Roma past, responds to Lazio links | OneFootball

Former Roma player Nicolo Zaniolo discussed at length his years in the Italian capital and responded to the recent rumors linking him with a move to Lazio.

Zaniolo – who is presently on loan at Aston Villa from Galatasaray – looked back on the most meaningful part of his career with the Giallorossi.

“Mourinho’s dismissal from Roma? I don’t know what to say, I didn’t expect it and I feel sorry for Mourinho,” Zaniolo commented in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“De Rossi’s positive start? It doesn’t surprise me at all. Daniele was already a coach when he was playing. He was an unbelievable captain to have.”

“My time at Roma was a great love story. I loved a lot and I was loved back. But things in football, as in life, end. When this is the case, it is better to separate, while still keeping the memory in your heart.”
