Nicolás Tagliafico set to leave Lyon on free transfer | OneFootball

Nicolás Tagliafico (32) is expected to leave Olympique Lyonnais at the end of the season, according to a report from Le Progrès.

The Argentina international continues to play an important role for Lyon. This season, he has made 19 appearances in all competitions, making four goal contributions (three goals, one assist) in that time. Since joining OL back in the summer of 2022, he has made 88 appearances for the club.

However, Le Progrès understands that this season will be his last. The left-back’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign. It is not expected that Tagliafico, one of Les Gones’ highest earners, will renew. Le Progrès have cited the insecurity of the city of Lyon and his unhappiness with the recent departure of Pierre Sage as manager as the principal reasons behind this decision. As a result, Tagliafico is expected to be available on a free transfer come the summer.
