L’Équipe report that Maxence Caqueret (23) and Nicolás Tagliafico (31) were victims of attempted burglary during Lyon’s 1-0 victory against Nantes on Wednesday night. Both of the perpetrators who attempted to break into the Lyon player’s houses were unsuccessful despite the properties being vacant with both starting OL’s match against Nantes.

The attempted burglary at the Argentinian international’s house was brought to a halt following the arrival of the local police which caused the culprit to flee. A similar occurrence at Caqueret’s property as the perpetrators fled due to the sounding of his house alarm.

Tagliafico visibly worried

The World Cup winner was warned by Lyon’s stadium manager, Xavier Pierrot, that a video had surfaced of an attempted burglary at his property. Tagliafico could be seen leaving the pitch worried after the full-time whistle and understandably sprinted down the tunnel rather than thanking fans and celebrating Lyon’s third successive win. However, the former Ajax man’s fears were soon eased knowing the burglar got no further than his garden.
