Celtic winger, Nicolas Kuhn is preparing to break new ground this weekend as he gets set to face Dundee for the first time since joining the Hoops.

The German Celt has played against all of the top-tier sides since making his debut against Ross County at the end of January except for the Dens Park club and Hearts, another top-six outfit he could meet soon.

A new opponent it may be for the 24-year-old, but the preparation has been the same as it ever was, as the Celts get set to play the first of the post-split fixtures this Sunday against Tony Docherty’s side.

The Celt said: “I think we have to play our game, if they stay behind then we have to find the spaces at the back four or five.

“So we are going to have to do our best to find the solution.

“It’s an away game so it’s not going to be easy. We can’t underestimate any team, so we have to focus on ourselves and give everything.”

And the player reiterated the fact that the focus on these final six matches as the Celts go in search of a double, will be the same as it has been on the previous six games played by the Hoops.

He said: “Already in the weeks before, we focused on ourselves.

‘We went from match to match and we will keep doing this, so we have to focus on the next match, that’s everything we can do.’

“We’ve had a good week, we’ve prepared for the next match and it’s going to be exciting.”

The ‘good week’ he mentioned started with last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen that kept the double hopes alive and kicking and paved the way for an even more exciting end to a season already tingling with expectation.

Kuhn said: “That can pull the team even more close together, so I hope that’s the case and our focus is on the next match now.

“It was really nice, the atmosphere was great. It was good that we got the win at the end and that was the most important thing.

“But now we are focused on the next match, that’s all we did this week and then we go from game to game.

“I knew before that Celtic want to win everything, and every game there is. I knew what was coming. The beginning was a little bit difficult for me, but now I am settled and I feel good.

“Physically I am getting stronger, now I can go 90 minutes. Before, I struggled after 70 minutes, but now I feel much better.

“I definitely feel better and that makes a big difference for me. I know I can go 90 minutes, I don’t have to hold some power back, so I’m happy.”
