Two leading members of the Spanish national team squad have late on Tuesday moved to heap praise on young teammate Lamine Yamal.
As much, of course, comes fresh off the Barcelona prodigy’s Man of the Match display against France.
Afforded a starting berth for Spain’s Euro 2024 semi-final showdown with Les Bleus, Lamine, once more, went on to dazzle.
En route to Man of the Match honours, the winger notched a Goal of the Tournament contender, whilst lighting up the right flank courtesy of touch, pace, immaculate control, and finished product.
Still just 16 years of age, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of Lamine being lavished in praise in the game’s aftermath.
And front and centre in as much have been none other than his international teammates.
First, in a post on his official Instagram account, Nico Williams unveiled a photo of he and Lamine, accompanied by the caption:
“My little brother MVP”
Manchester City standout Rodri then hailed the teenage sensation for his defensive efforts, explaining to the media:
“I am very proud of Lamine. People are going to talk about the goal, and the stellar performance of this 16-year-old boy. The future that awaits him is impressive, but I congratulated him for his commitment defensively. His game was so complete.”
And Marc Cucurella was not long in following suit, adding:
“I have no words to describe Lamine. His talent is amazing despite his young age. If he continues like this, he will become one of the best players in the world.”
