Nico Paz’s father reveals he wants Como stay for another season | OneFootball

Serie A side Como’s star midfielder Nico Paz wants to stay at the club for another season but much bigger prospects are on the horizon for him, says his father Pablo Paz.

Speaking in an interview with La Provincia Di Como via Tutto Juve, Nico Paz’s father Pablo Paz reaffirmed his son’s wishes to continue for at least a year in Como and also praised the relationship he shares with head coach Cesc Fabregas. He said: “If you ask Nico what he would like to do, his wish would undoubtedly be to stay another year in Como. He is very happy, he is happy and with Fabregas, it is like doing a university master’s degree. He likes everything and I would agree too.”

Despite assurances of staying at Como, the former Real Madrid man’s father stated that there are “higher interests at stake”. Nico Paz has grown exponentially with the newly promoted Serie A side and his future is causing much stir due to Los Blancos maintaining a cold stance on their buy-back clause along with many Premier League and Italian sides interested in him.

Inter have emerged as one of the interested parties and Pablo Paz directly confirmed that there are “no negotiations” with them over a possible transfer. He also talked about Fiorentina and Stuttgart being in the running to land his son but they liked the Como project more.
